KT/Studio · Web design, build & security for small businesses

Every pixel has a reason.

I design, build and secure websites for small businesses that need the phone to ring. Fixed prices, everything in writing, and the test reports to prove it was done right.

One dark button. The other one waits its turn. Every element here has a reason like that: press or tap X to see them.

“Before” is a made-up site in a style many small businesses still have. “After” is my Ridgeline concept.

01 · Selected work

Three sites. Three different studios.

Concept sites for fictional businesses, so the work could be my best without inventing clients. Each one looks like nobody else made it.

Overcast home page: a dusk sky over a row of Fort Worth rooftops, with the headline Roofs built for hail country.

01 · Roofing · Fort Worth, TX

Overcast Roofing Co.

A roofer's site that reads like a weather chart laid over a roof.

  • A live Fort Worth sky. A WebGL shader that follows the real sun over Fort Worth: night, twilight, golden hour, day. Scrolling builds the storm.
  • The roof, in install order. A 3D specimen built from ~1,700 individual shingle tabs, drawn only when you scroll, so an idle page costs nothing.
  • The hail test. National Weather Service hail sizes against four roof types, with typical outcomes labelled as a guide.

26 pages · Astro · Three.js · WebGL shader · GSAP

Built to Signature + 6 extra pages · from $8,999

Nine real layers, in the order a crew lays them. Scroll puts the roof back together.

Ridgeline home page: a 3D house on a Tulsa street at golden hour, with the headline Tulsa's plumbers who show up on time.

02 · Plumbing & HVAC · Tulsa, OK

Ridgeline Plumbing & Heating

Follow the water: a plumber's site where you scroll through the house.

  • The house, opened up. A 3D house you scroll through, tuned to a steady 60 fps on an ordinary laptop with integrated graphics.
  • Leaking now?. An emergency panel one tap away on every page, with the shut-off steps and the phone number.
  • Flat-rate prices up front. Real prices on the page and a quote calculator, so nobody has to call just to ask.

20 pages · Astro · Three.js · GSAP · Lenis

Built to Signature · from $8,999

The roof lifts and the house opens. You follow the water from the street to the tap.

SLAB home page: a concrete café interior with a cobalt spiral staircase, and the headline Coffee, poured into raw concrete.

03 · Café · Milan, IT

SLAB

A brutalist café site poured in concrete and cobalt steel.

  • Scroll like a pour. Heavy, smooth motion, with type that sets like it's been cast.
  • Live open sign. Open or closed, worked out from Milan time, in the corner of every page.
  • A booking flow. Tables and the rooftop court, without a third-party widget.

8 pages + 404 · Astro · GSAP · Lenis · Matter.js

Built to Growth + a second language · from $4,899

Words that weigh as much as the walls.

02 · How I work

The contract, in plain English.

Eight clauses. Each one closes a reason people put off fixing their website.

  1. 01

A fixed price, agreed before I start.

It doesn't creep. If something new comes up, you get a written quote first and decide.

Fear of the open-ended bill is why most owners never start.

  2. 02

A first direction in 7 working days.

Not a moodboard: your real home page, designed. Not for you? Stop there and get half your deposit back.

Risk on my side, not yours.

  3. 03

The second half only after you approve the launch.

If it isn't right, it doesn't go live and you don't pay the rest.

You hold the final say, in money as well as words.

  4. 04

    You own everything.

Domain, hosting account, code, words, images. If we part ways, you take it all with you.

    No hostage websites. Ever.

  5. 05

Tested, with the reports to prove it.

Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, speed, security headers. Dated reports in your handover folder.

Over 3,000 accessibility lawsuits hit US websites in federal court in 2025. Evidence of care matters.

  6. 06

    No trackers. No surprises.

No pixels, no session recording, no cookies you didn't ask for. If you want them, we add consent properly.

Tracking scripts are where the legal letters come from.

  7. 07

A reply the same working day.

Everything in writing, so nothing gets lost between calls.

Slow replies lose deals. I know that from both sides.

  8. 08

    No promises I can't keep.

I won't promise rankings, a number of calls, or "lawsuit-proof". I promise the work, and I show it.

Anyone who guarantees page one is guessing.

03 · From first email to launch

The problem first. Then the design.

No calls needed. Everything in writing, so you can answer at 11 pm if that's when you have time.

  1. Day 1–2

    Teardown

I study your business, your town and your top three competitors before I draw a thing. The problem first, then the design.

  2. Day 2

    Proposal

Fixed scope, fixed price, timeline. One link to read, sign and pay the deposit.

  3. Within 7 working days

    First direction

Your home page, designed for real. You react; I revise.

  4. Weeks 2–5

    Build

A private preview link that updates as I work. Every page tested on real phones.

  5. When you say so

    Launch

Only after you approve. Search Console, sitemap, redirects, email records, all checked.

  6. Launch week

    Handover

Written guides and short captioned videos showing you how to change things, the test reports, and every account in your name.

04 · Prices

On the page, so you don't have to ask.

Fixed before I start. Half up front, half only after you approve the launch.

Care plans from $129/mo · a full written Site Audit for $349, credited toward any build. All prices

05 · Before the studio

Everything I've built started with something breaking.

My background is security engineering. It's why I build websites as if someone will audit them.

SecureNotes

What broke. I read about a major cloud breach and deleted every sensitive file I had stored in the cloud that same day. Then my LinkedIn account was hacked.

“Treat other people's data as if it were your own.”

For your site: Your site collects only what it needs, sends it nowhere it shouldn't, and every account sits in your name with 2FA.

Attestia

What broke. Thirty days stuck on one pipeline error. When it finally ran, I deployed broken code by mistake, and the pipeline shipped it without a question.

“Automation is not authorisation.”

For your site: Nothing goes live on your site without tests, my sign-off and a way back. And nothing launches without yours.

Paused, on purpose

The Blind Oracle

What broke. The design was ready. The resources weren't: always-on secure hardware, a twelve-week build, and a scope bigger than one person.

“Know when the scope is bigger than the resources, and say so.”

For your site: Your quote is fixed and honest from day one. If something doesn't fit the budget, I tell you before I start, not after.

The whole story

06 · Free audit

Send me your website. I'll send back what it's costing you.

Speed on a phone, security headers, accessibility basics, search basics and your email records, in plain English, within two working days. Free, and no call.

The free audit checks your home page. The full $349 audit goes through up to 25 pages by hand, and its fee comes off any build.

I only use this to send your audit. No newsletter, no list. Privacy

07 · Questions

Straight answers.

Why fixed prices?

Because an open-ended bill is the thing small businesses fear most, and because it makes me scope properly. If something new comes up, you get a written quote and decide.

Do we need a call?

No. Everything happens in writing: a short questionnaire, a proposal, a private preview link, and written guides, with short captioned videos where showing is easier. Nothing gets lost, and you can answer at 11 pm if that's when you have time.

Who owns the website?

You do, completely: domain, hosting account, code, content. If we stop working together you take everything with you.

Will this get me more calls?

It's built for calls: fast on phones, the number and the quote form always within reach, pages for each service and town. I won't promise a number. I will show you what changed.

What about accessibility lawsuits?

Every site is built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, and you get the dated reports. Nobody can honestly promise you'll never get a letter; I can make sure your site is genuinely accessible and that you can prove it.

Why are your samples fictional businesses?

So I could show my best work without inventing clients. Every sample says it's fictional in its footer, and none of them uses a real business's name, photos or reviews.
