Accessibility statement
Built for everyone.
This site aims for WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard I build every client site to.
What's in place
- Body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface designed for readers with low vision, and never drops below 18px.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline. A skip link jumps to the content.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, nothing animates. Add
?static=1to any address for the same. - Colour contrast is checked to AA on every text colour, including the red notes.
- Images that carry meaning have written descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- The X-ray view is decorative and hidden from assistive technology; everything it shows is also written on the page.
Conformance
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Automated tests currently pass with no errors; manual checks are repeated before each release. Last reviewed 23 October 2026.
Known limitations
- The before-and-after proof sheets on the home page are a visual illustration; the point they make is written in the caption under them. The loop can be paused, and it doesn't play at all if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The live sample sites linked from the Work page are separate sites with their own accessibility notes.
How it's tested
Automated checks with axe and Lighthouse, plus a manual keyboard pass and a screen-reader pass with NVDA, before each release.
